Do you believe data is equivalent to air and water for a business? Do you love good, clean data as much as you do people? Do you love solving business questions with data answers? If you answered ‘Yes’ to all of these, LivCor has a Data Analyst position that will analyze, digest, and manipulate large datasets into a cloud architecture environment. You will be a technologist that has a deep understanding of data, how it flows from one system to another and all the data structures that are required to make a successful move possible. You will work with the Head of Data to roadmap incoming data sets, and you will partner with Data Quality to make sure the processes of ingestion and the quality of the data are second to none. Your majority of time will be spent collecting, tidying, analyzing, and visualizing data, and sharing actionable insights with decision-makers.

What you will do:

  • Synthesize and interpret data into a narrative of business performance and actionable insights in deliverables of various formats. Just the data.
  • Design, build, prototype, and deploy data analysis frameworks
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Conduct and support whiteboarding sessions, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings as needed
  • Researches and develops new algorithms and statistical techniques based on customer needs
  • Work in partnership with business analysts, application architect, application developers to build data transactions and warehousing systems
  • Structure large data sets to find usable information
  • Work with a team of analysts and other associates to process information
  • Work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Make effective and decisive decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project

What you should have:

  • 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Software Engineering or Data-Focused Positions.
  • Understanding of Data Pipelines, SQL, Table structures and Azure
  • Advanced SQL experience: SELECT/INSERT/UPDATE, Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, etc.
  • Data Mining, Data Transformation, Data Investigation (analyzing current output and legacy code)
  • Ability to find anomalies, clean data, create reports, and collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • Requirements facilitation and documentation experience (writing business requirements for engineers, creating user stories in DevOps, etc.)
  • Ability to distill large volumes of information into consumable 'portions' that allow for nimble decision making
  • Bachelor's degree or School of Hard Knocks
  • Real Estate Multi-Family experience a huge plus
  • Experience in end-to-end implementation of BI projects for developing a portfolio of scorecards, KPIs, reports & dashboards
  • Ability to communicate analytic and data solutions in an actionable manner to business managers
  • Experience with a wide array of cloud-based project management tools
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to initiate and drive projects proactively and accurately with a large, diverse team
  • An overwhelming desire to see others succeed. Training, mentorship, and soft skills are paramount
