Job Summary

 

Livcor has been promoting sustainable operations and management practices and remains dedicated to advancing ESG initiatives. In this role, our successful candidate will report to the Executive Vice President of Administration and collaborate with senior leadership throughout the Company. They will lead the firm’s strategy development, implementation, and communication and reporting of a successful ESG program. They will work with assets to implement and track best O&M (operations and maintenance) practices across our portfolio.  Additionally, it is expected they will be able to manage and influence a diverse constituency including Livcor executives, asset and property management, third-party operators, senior management, etc.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Strategically leading the organization in the areas of environmental efficiencies, social initiatives, and governance management.
  • Collaborating with and influencing internal teams to develop the Company’s near-term and long-range ESG vision, corresponding to Sustainability reporting to the Board and Stakeholders.
  • Implementing a framework for external ESG disclosure, supporting communication of success stories and case studies.
  • Improving the environmental impact of the portfolio by reducing energy and water consumption and cost, and enhancing waste management practices though collaboration with Operational leaders
  • Establishing a best-in-class multi-family resident engagement program at the asset level, incorporating both environmental and health & wellness initiatives; developing and implementing promotional and educational programs to create awareness.
  • Working across departments to develop KPI’s relating to governing policies, diversity and inclusion initiatives, community involvement and charitable sponsorships.
  • Establishing and maintaining sustainability partnerships with peers and industry leaders, including introductions to Ownership’s global ESG team’s network and resources, while serving as an ambassador for the Company at leading sustainability conferences and industry events.
  • Monitoring, assessing, and complying with regional energy performance and carbon-related regulations, and assessing their relative risks to the portfolio.

Qualifications:

 

  • 10+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record in sustainability program design and execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering technology, real estate / business or related field with emphasis on Energy Engineering and Management, Sustainability or Environmental Science.
  • Experience in the real estate industry preferred but not required.
  • Professional credentials and licenses such as LEED, CEM, WELL/Fitwel etc.
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards for the real estate industry with prior experience in ESG reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely and communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent quantitative skills and established analytical ability.
  • Objective and balanced leader with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Established network and relationships with key industry experts and regulatory groups.
