  • LivCor is a real estate firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 2013 as a portfolio company of The Blackstone Group (NYSE: BX.) LivCor specializes in multi-family properties throughout the U.S.  LivCor oversees a portfolio of nearly 200 class A and B multi-family properties comprising approximately 70,000 units located in primary, secondary and tertiary markets across 20 states.

     

    LivCor is looking to add a Transactions Coordinator to its acquisition team supporting Blackstone acquisition efforts.  The role will be critical in supporting Blackstone in its effort to grow LivCor’s multifamily real estate portfolio by primarily coordinating all aspects of the onboarding and transition process between LivCor operations teams and 3rd party property managers.  The ideal candidate must exhibit strong communication and organization skills, a passion for multifamily real estate and have the ability to balance multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced work environment. In addition, s/he will have at least 1-3 years of transaction management experience in real estate acquisitions/dispositions, asset management and/or real estate operations.

     

    This role will report to LivCor’s Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and will work in tandem with LivCor’s due diligence team and Directors of Acquisitions for every deal awarded to LivCor.  The candidate will assist in reviewing documents provided and received from LivCor 3rd party operators and ensure all necessary LivCor transition processes have been implemented prior to the close of each transaction.  This person will be the lead point of contact for LivCor with all 3rd party operators, updating both Blackstone’s acquisition team as well as the LivCor team, particularly the Acquisitions, Asset Management, Pricing and Marketing team members. Cultural fit with the LivCor team is critical. Compensation will be commensurate with the market and the individual’s experience.

    As Transactions Coordinator, one is held accountable to, but not limited to, the following job functions:

    • Coordinate all aspects of operator transitions for new multifamily acquisitions
    • Review third party reports and seller provided statements of operations
    • Schedule transition calls and compile/prepare deliverables between 3rd party operators and LivCor operations teams particularly related to likely operational performance and LivCor system implementation (Property Management Software, Yieldstar Rev. Management, Contract Services, etc.)
    • Perform targeted research projects
    • Minimal travel required

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
    • 1-3 years of relevant real estate experience (asset management, operations, transactions or acquisitions)
    • Passion for real estate
    • Experience in multi-family real estate preferred
    • Demonstrated track record of high achievement in demanding professional and academic settings
    • Superior analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and all Microsoft office applications
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Highly organized, motivated, energetic and independent with strong interpersonal skills
