    Several of Blackstone’s real estate companies are looking for driven and self-motivated 2020 Summer Interns in our Chicago and San Diego offices. As part of the internship, we will provide learning opportunities throughout the organization so that each intern understands the fundamentals of the real estate industry following this experience. From an everyday perspective, the interns will contribute to best-in-class research, assist with day-to-day responsibilities, contribute to business development initiatives, and carry out tasks for both internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to work well in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, demonstrate clear communication skills, and be motivated to learn – with a deep passion for, and interest in, Real Estate as a career.


    We are offering internships to 2021 graduates for our retail (ShopCore Properties), industrial (Link), office (EQ Office), multi-family (LivCor), hotel (BRE), senior housing (Longview), and corporate services (Revantage) companies. We are seeking to hire interns across the following business units:

    • Transactions - Dispositions and/or Acquisitions
    • Asset Management
    • Development
    • Leasing
    • Marketing
    • Research / National Accounts
    • Revenue / Pricing Management
    • Valuations
    • Corporate Finance

    Throughout the course of the internship, each intern will work with an assigned mentor to complete an assignment that is related to the department they are interning in. Project findings may be summarized in PowerPoint and presented to the senior executive leadership team in a 20 to 30-minute presentation at the conclusion of the summer.

    As our Real Estate Intern, one is held accountable, however not limited, to learning the following job responsibilities:

    • Conduct initial research on potential investments; analyze and support underwriting for various types of transactions including dispositions, major leasing, redevelopments, debt financings and joint ventures
    • Assist with coordinating, preparing and updating monthly and quarterly reporting packages for budgeted, forecasted and actual financial results
    • Conduct initial analysis to help determine long-term asset strategy
    • Leverage, retrieve, upload, reconcile and analyze data from several research, financial and industry-specific systems
    • Perform special adhoc projects, reporting and analysis as needed


    • 2021 graduates at an accredited four-year university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance and/or real estate fields
    • 3.3 or above GPA
    • Ability to work in a full-time/non-exempt capacity for 10 weeks, beginning in June of 2020.
